The AnyScript Model Repository
The
model repository is a library of AnyScript models to share between many
users. AnyScript is the modeling language used by the
AnyBody Modeling System.
You are free to download and use
the models from www.anyscript.org.
As of March 2009, anyscript.org replaces this site as the official
distibution point of the models.
The Motivation
The development of detailed and reliable models of the human body is an
enormous task. The human body contains hundreds of anatomical muscles,
many of which must be divided into several mechanical units. Each muscle
in the body is subsequently described by many parameters describing
strength, force-velocity and force-length relationships, parallel and
serial elasticity, pennation angle, fiber length, origin and insertion,
etc. The other elements of a body model, i.e., joints, bones, connective
tissues, must also be described. This means that a full body model will
literally contain thousands of parameters.
The motivation behind this effort is that development of body models is
such a huge task and so important for the reliability of musculoskeletal
analysis that it has to be a collaborative effort.
What we hope
We are hoping that scientists and other qualified users will improve
and validate the models we make available here and feed them back into
the system for the collective benefit of all.
When you use a model, we encourage you to
